About Dr. Masada and Our Practice

Dr. Masada grew up on a grape farm in a small town called Caruthers. He would like to provide the warm, personalized care of a "small town doctor," while applying state of the art advances in medical knowledge and technology.

Dr. Masada went to medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his medical training at the Stanford-affiliated Family Medicine Residency program. He has been practicing medicine for 22 years in the Evergreen area here in San Jose. Prior to medical school, Dr. Masada did research in immunology for 8 years, resulting in multiple publications in scientific journals.

He is currently the medical director of a local hospice, With Grace Hospice and Palliative Care, providing medical and spiritual care to patients at the end-of-life. He co-founded With Grace Hospice with a nurse, Linh, to not only provide excellent medical care, but to be a ministry as well. Proceeds from the hospice have funded multiple medical mission trips to the Philippines and Vietnam, bringing medical care, humanitarian relief, and clean water to many villages through the building of multiple wells. The funds also help to support maintaining a medical clinic in the Philippines. He has also done medical work in Thailand (orphanage), Mexico, and the Honduras. Dr. Masada is married and active in a local Christian church.
